In April, we started cleaning the Parnu Jewish cemeteries at Riga highway, where are almost 400 graves.
Many of the buried ones, do not have relatives any longer.
Graves are mossy and abandoned.
we arranged communal work, at the first day, gathered about 40 volunteers over Estonia, other days, there were around 20 people.
Even Finland and Sweden were presented.
Gravestones were cleaned with brushes and were covered anti-moss liquid, which is protecting gravestones from moss growing back and from spreading.
We rake branches, ordered 15m³ new soil and we spread it around.
We have restored the gates and fences around Jewish burial places.
It was a beautiful and sunny weather. For the first time during the spring, we could wear a short-sleeved clothes.
